At Self Help Me, we offer a blend of ancient and modern practices to clients. Tools to help manage stress, anxiety and burnout are shared through the use of meditation, mindfulness, yoga, eft tapping, reiki, and breathwork. Our services are designed to help individuals thrive in both their professional and personal lives.
Dena Jackson, Creator
Dena Jackson is a Keynote Speaker and the Creator of Self Help Me. Having trained as a professional comedian for thirteen years, Dena uses a comedic approach in her talks, workshops and retreats to share how holistic wellness practices can alleviate stress and anxiety.
As a performer, she has been part of the Just for Laughs Festival, the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, the New York Comedy Festival and she is regularly featured on the CBC and on Sirius XM Radio.
Dena completed her 200-hour teacher training at Kashish Yoga School in Goa, India and her instructor certification at the Mindfulness Society of Canada. She is also a Certified Reiki Master and Breathwork Facilitator who hosts the “Self Help Me” podcast on Spotify, Apple and the Sonar Network. Her new book, also called “Self Help Me,” will be available in October 2025.

Breathwork can help ease the mind by slowing down the central nervous system and notifying the body that it can relax. It can also be used to help with cleansing and restoring. Each breathwork session offered is tailored to your area of focus; self care, stress and anxiety reduction, meeting and presentation preparation, building confidence and more.

EFT Tapping to Build Confidence
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) Tapping is a technique that involves tapping on acupressure points in the body. These particular areas are known in Chinese Medicine as meridian points and tapping gently on them can help release stuck energy. Tapping is often combined with the use of stating affirmations as a way of offering a shift in perspective from negative to positive viewpoint.

Reiki is a Japanese word that means universal life force energy. It is a healing art that originated in ancient Buddhism. You may leave your treatment feeling both rejuvenated and as though you've lost 100 lbs and it's very possible for both to be true.

Self Help Me offers and array of yoga classes ranging from weekly classes, private one-on-ones, corporate workshops and puppy yoga. The style offered is classical in nature and works with Hatha postures to promote the connection of yoga postures (asanas) and breathing techniques (pranayama) for various skill levels.
